Objectives
The Master program is designed to provide the knowledge and skills needed to become an effective manager or economist. This program intends to provide advanced training in the scientific field of management and economics. It is specific based offer, centralized in the specialization areas. Therefore, the broad goals of the program are: provide students with up-to-date foundations in content and competencies that will support their development as effective managers and/or economist in a variety of organizational settings; promote the adoption and use of analytical tools for decision making; develop leadership skills, critical reasoning and decision making, and effective communication skills essential in a variety of organizational settings. The second year of this program is dedicated to a research project.
Access Requirements
Can apply to the master program: a) Applicants with a degree in Management, Economics or other considered appropriate to the frequency of the Master in Economics and Business (MCEE); b) It will also be considered applications of candidates that have an academic, scientific or professional curriculum recognized by the Scientific Council as attesting the capacity to fulfil the program.

General management: general director, administrator or director of a functional area or division; Marketing: marketing director, account manager, product manager and marketing consultant; Finance: financial director, auditor, project analyst, budget control and company valuation technician); Human resources: human resources director or consultant; Economics and public policies: author of studies and projects of macroeconomic and microeconomic nature, collaborator in the design and evaluation of public policies with an impact on the economy.
Learning Outcomes
The main objectives of the Master in Economics and Management Sciences are providing a specific training in management and economy in a variety of techniques and support instruments in order to develop/increase in students’ leadership and decision-making capacities as well as transversal knowledge of organization functions. These goals are operated at three levels: 1. technical domain: involves the set of technical scientific knowledge necessary for understanding and expertise in general management, 2. theoretical referential domain: comprises the theoretical references in each main function addressed, the methodologies, techniques and instruments which will enable the correct action, decision, and individuals development in a daily-work context; 3. practical domain: involves fostering autodidact learning ability.
