From the students of the 3rd Study Cycle in Insular and Atlantic History (15th-20th centuries) one expects:
a) mastery of typologies of sources in the field of Insular and Atlantic History and ability to explore and apply them in multiple domains
b) ability to update one’s knowledge through specialized bibliography
c) application of new technologies in the research process and in the diffusion of accumulated knowledge, in favour of a scientific communication that can be adequate for different types of publics
d) mastery of methodologies of critical analysis that promote cognitive innovations
e) enterprising spirit, with the guarantee to answer new problems in a proactive way.
f) scientific maturity to integrate international teams and work groups.
g) flexibility to analyse specific problems presented in case studies and in investigations with a general scope, defining different approaching strategies that are adequate for each problem.
