Objectives
This course aims to train food industry professionals who will develop skills in science, technology and food safety.
Access Requirements
Admission is open to applicants who have successfully completed the 1st cycle of studies or hold a Master's degree or a legally equivalent degree in food science, agricultural science, veterinary science, life science, biotechnology, nutritional science or other related fields. Or if justified by the personal curriculum vitae.
Career Opportunities
Food industry: food processing, implementation of food quality and safety systems, chemical and microbiological quality control of production and products, inspection of food products;
Support to management, administrative and marketing functions;
Consultant, assessor and auditor in the areas covered by the course;
researcher in projects for the development of new food products;
Trainer in hygiene and food safety.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge of food composition, analysis, processing, microbiology and safety. Skills in product development, food business management, marketing and quality assurance.
Study Regime
Full or part-time attendance. Attendance required in daytime schedule.
