Objectives

1. Know the health processes in women/family throughout the reproductive cycle and in the prenatal period
2. Know the processes that integrate complications and acute and/or chronic pathology concomitant with pregnancy
3. Recognize the potential of health education in nursing interventions for women and families throughout the reproductive cycle
4. Integrate knowledge to design, plan, coordinate, supervise, implement and evaluate specialized nursing interventions in pregnancy and/or pregnancy termination situations
5. Integrate knowledge to design, plan, coordinate, supervise, implement and evaluate intervention programs and projects, in pregnancy
and in preparation for parenting
6. Critically analyze situations / cases based on scientific evidence
7. Use technical, written and oral language, adapting it to different contexts.
8. Act to meet their training needs.

Human, sexual and reproductive rights
Fundamentals of bacteriology, virology and parasitology, biophysics, biochemistry and radiology
Prenatal care goals, health indicators and demographic concepts
General and specific competences of the EESMO
Anatomophysiology of human reproduction
Female genital mutilation; violence in pregnant
Human fertility/infertility/sterility and PMA
Physical and gynecological evaluation and complementary exams. Genetic and conceptional risk.
Physiology of pregnancy and adaptation of the maternal organism to pregnancy
Physiology of lactation and breastfeeding
pregnancy development
Pregnancy at the extremes of reproductive life and prenatal diagnosis
Prenatal surveillance.
Pregnancy complications and referral criteria
Delivery/birth plan.
Drugs in pregnancy.
Complementary therapies in pregnancy.
risk factors in pregnancy
Unexpected pregnancy, risk pregnancy and termination of pregnancy
Acute and/or chronic illness concomitant with pregnancy.

Teaching Methodologies

The syllabus will be grouped into thematic blocks, integrating the various knowledge, enriched with the sharing of experiences and practical applications in the laboratory, in simulation, valuing the development of skills inherent to the specialized exercise in this area.
The methodology will be active, implying the co-responsibility of the student for his learning, in order to make him autonomous in his training process.
