Objectives
1. Analyze the health system in Portugal and the evolution of health services.
2. Discuss the basic principles of nursing care management and organization and their evolution.
3. Recognize the importance of safety culture and change and innovation in health organizations.
4. Recognize the transformation in the area of people management: leadership, teamwork, conflict management and professional performance management.
5. Analyze concepts and principles related to total health quality management and safety of care and health organization.
6. Discuss some tools and instruments that support the management of health services, in particular from the Ministry of Health.

Organization of the Portuguese health system
Management and organization of nursing care.
Culture, change processes and organizational innovation.
People management (leadership, delegation, secure staffing, supervision, conflict management, professional performance management).
Reflect on strategies and management practices that facilitate the development of the profession.
Quality and safety in health.
Development of health services.
Teaching Methods
The methodology will be active, implying the co-responsibility of the student for his learning in order to make him autonomous in his training process
The final Seminar will allow for a broad discussion on the contents that are part of the UC.
