Investigação em Enfermagem

Objectives

1. Realize the relevance of research for the development of knowledge and practice in Nursing.
2. Understand the research methodologies: qualitative and quantitative.
3. Know the stages of the investigation process.
4. Understand the different ways of accessing scientific evidence: types of literature review..
5. To critically analyze the results of the research produced, with a view to decision making in clinical practice.
6. Know the ways of disseminating knowledge.

Program

Research into specific competencies in Maternal Nursing and Obstetrics.
Nursing research: fundamentals and relevance to the process of social knowledge and nursing practice.
Nursing research paradigms.
Stages of the investigation process and ethical procedures.
Analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.
Communication and dissemination of research results.
Evidence-based practice: from concept to implementation.
Steps in evidence-based practice and synthesis of evidence.

Teaching Methodologies

The methodology will be active implying the student's co-responsibility for their learning in order to make them autonomous in their training process.
The final Seminar will allow a broad discussion on the contents that are part of the curricular unit.
