Objectives

1. Train the student for the development of Nursing as a profession and as a discipline.
2. Contribute to the appropriation, implementation and development of Quality Standards of Nursing Care.
3. Understand the strategies of professional development.
4. Develop skills in nursing information systems, contributing to the quality of care provided to the population.

Program

1. The development of Nursing as a profession and as a subject:
a) An ontoepistemological approach to nursing
b) How to care in nursing and nursing care
c) Nursing as a scientific subject
d) Advanced Nursing Practice
2. Quality Standards of Specialized Nursing Care
a) Projects for continuous improvement of the quality of care.
3. Professional Development Strategies
a) Professional development model
b) Health services: training and learning contexts.
c) Supervision, training and experience.
4. Nursing Information Systems
a) The nursing information/quality system and nursing decision making.
b) CIPE® and SClínico.

Teaching Methodologies

The methodology will be active, by implying the student's co-responsibility for their learning in order to make them autonomous in their training process. The final Seminar will allow a broad discussion on the contents that are part of the curricular unit
