Tourism has a deep relationship with the environment since this is the main resource for tourism activity. In this context, the profession of nature guide is becoming increasingly relevant. A professional who is responsible for sharing his passion for nature and his knowledge with the groups of travelers who decide to visit the place. The guide must know the territory well, its patrimonial characteristics, such as the geomorphological history, the history of ecological evolution in that territory and the characteristics and particularities of the local flora and fauna. The guide must also have knowledge about the interrelationships between the ways of life of human communities and other species of animals, plants or fungi that cohabit in a territory. The nature guide must be able to design interpretive itineraries in natural spaces to facilitate meaningful experiences for the public, combining the objectives of informing, sensitizing and entertaining. To transmit scientific knowledge in a meaningful and entertaining way, the guide must develop other skills that will allow to adapt the contents to the various types of visitors who can participate in the activity: Interpersonal skills; Communication skills; Notions of pedagogy.

A combined learning strategy will take place, integrating synchronous and asynchronous elements, using a learning management system that will support digital content hosting and its use and exploitation by students. Students will use their time outside the classroom in a useful and directed way, to value the interaction with the teacher in the synchronous component, thus avoiding merely exhibition classes. The exploitation of content in small groups will have the support of digital technologies. The classes will be directed to a discussion between pairs of previously prepared topics, and clarification of doubts. The application of concepts will be supported by scientific literature, using digital content. It will be valued the involvement of practical competencies related to the use of digital technologies, discussion with professional guides, and theoretical-practical classes on first aid. The assessment will include a group work on the planning of a visit to a natural area as well as a theoretical-practical test on first aid, in addition to participation in a discussion forum.
