Objectives

The main objectives are the following: to teach the students the main developments, at the national and international levels, related to Geopolitics and Geostrategy, as well as the most relevant concepts and theories related to those subjects. The students have to read a specific bibliography with the main objective of preparing the seminars.

Program

Imperialism, globalization and Geopolitics. Geopolitics during the First World War, Imperial Geopolitics; Geopolitics during the Second World War and the Cold War, Geopolitics during the New World Order.

Teaching Methodologies

First of all, the Professor makes introductory remarks in order to make the general introduction to the subject. Afterwards, he asks all the students to intervene to promote dialogue, not only between the Professor and the students, but also among them. As far as grading is concerned, the students have to present and defend a research paper at the end of the semester.
