1. Critically reflect on educational processes and practices, aiming educational quality and success;
2. Identify possible concerns arising from pedagogical observation and intervention during the various internships included in the study plan;
3. Use scientific and pedagogical-didactic knowledge to plan learning experiences in History classes from grades 7 to 12;
4. Design and evaluate History learning materials in grades 7 to 12.
a) The curricular guidelines for the year(s) of schooling in which the students are taking their internships;
b) Their schools and school supervisors' programming;
c) The respective training projects;
d) The theme of the individual internship reports.
This course has a predominantly theoretical-practical nature, based on teacher-student and student-student interaction and debate in cycles of planning-action-reflection. There will be some dialogued expository classes adapted to students' needs and contexts, as well as the presentation, discussion and evaluation of educational strategies and resources.
The course also provides simulation and experimentation activities with other students from different schools, as well as a workshops for History teachers from 7th to 12 th grade.
Students' assessment in this course will be mostly continuous and formative. Nevertheless, for summative purposes we will consider the following indicators:
a) the pedagogical-didactic quality of two of the educational resources created during the course to teach History on the grades that students are taking their internships (35% + 35%);
b) the quality of students' participation and organization of a Workshop on History learning for classes from grades 7 to 12 other than their own and/or a Workshop for History teachers (30%).
