Objectives

1. Identify the application areas and technologies that support multimedia applications. 2. Know and apply the main techniques of content production and multimedia projects development with some of the most commonly used tools. 3. Know the theory and gain practical skills to explore media various types (text, images, audio and video) and their potentialities. These practices allow the design and planning of systems and multimedia products projects for the development of information and communication solutions. 4. Identify and apply the methodologies and techniques for the preparation and publication of contents in a Web environment. 5. Know different technologies applied to digital and multimedia communication, as well as understand the relevance of multimedia in the contemporary world.

Teaching Methodologies

Lectures: explanation of Multimedia concepts and presentation of related examples Classroom practices: development of small projects. Groups of 2/3 students.

Assessment: 2 Practical projects P1 e P2 - required for all students 1 Theoretical test T Final classification: if (T> = 8 and P1> = 10 and P2> = 10), then 0.3 * T + 0.3 * P1 + 0.4 * P2; else, min (T, P1, P2).
