Objectives

1. Mobilize skills acquired in the areas of Programming, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) applying them in the context of the elaboration of a project.
2. Mobilize skills in the use of tools and platforms applied to AI, ML and Robotics.
3. Deepen autonomous working skills in the preparation of a scientific document to be published in a conference or scientific journal.

Program

1. Definition of objectives for individual final project with the creation of a work plan.
2. Using tools and platforms, as well as the material made available in laboratory context for the realization of the project.
3. Monitoring project execution and the preparation of scientific document in article format.

Teaching Methodologies

In this curricular unit, trainees develop an individual project that is presented and discussed before a jury. Trainees produce a scientific document that will be used in the assessment. The final evaluation (AF) has two evaluation components, the presentation and discussion of the project (P) and the written document (D).
AF = 0.35 * P + 0.65 * D.
The trainees have a positive evaluation if AF is greater than or equal to 9.5. Otherwise the student will have the opportunity to improve the project at exam time.
