Objectives

1. To explicit the principles underlying pedagogical work organized in the modality of project, as will as its social relevance and impact on student learning.

2. To characterize work project experiences (or going) in a concrete situation in a classroom or school.

3. To guide ones perspective on pedagogical intervention according to principles of respect for minorities, inclusion, participation and solidarity.

4. To participate in research projects on the learning provided by this pedagogical perspective using project work in order to get involved in the construction of scientific knowledge based on concrete situations.

Program

1. Project concepts. Project concepts in pedagogy.
2. Principles, values and potential of pedagogical of project work are autonomy and students' participation, students' . needs and students' interests.
3. Projects in the classroom and school (both short and long duration, in small and large group).
4. Community involvement in educational project work.
5. Strategies to organize and implemente project work in the classroom and schools
6. Research on the development and results of project work in education.

Teaching Methodologies

This curricular unit will includes with moments of reflection and transmission of information and data collection as well as the and analyze pedagogical experiences. There will be moments of participation which other teachers with of share their experience with students. Students will collect data from observations and/or interviews where this instrutional model is used with emphasis on student learning, different working approaches and community involvement. Results on processes and outcomes will be reported in writing and orally (40% of the final grade). After each observation experience, students will write a report on the situation observed in the field (40% of the final grade). Finally, the frequency of participation and the quality of interventions in classroom and Moodle platform discussions about the potentialies of project based work is worth 20% of the final grade.
