1. Saber identificar as questões éticas que os progressos no domínio da computação envolvem, os valores inerentes, os argumentos em causa e as exigências da fundamentação e do raciocínio ético.
2. Compreender as responsabilidades profissionais, éticas e sociais associadas às tecnologias da informação e comunicação.
3. Adquirir a capacidade para analisar o impacto nos indivíduos, nas organizações e na sociedade em geral, das tecnologias da informação no que respeita às questões éticas, legais, de segurança e no enquadramento de políticas globais.
4. Aplicar modelos comunicacionais a práticas orientadas para a apresentação de ideias, através do discurso oral e escrito, em diferentes contextos.
5. Apreender a dinâmica da interação verbal no espaço público e empresarial de modo a reforçar a comunicação oral e escrita.
6. Recolher, sistematizar e apresentar diferentes tipos de informação relacionada com o desenvolvimento de projetos em TIC.
1. Conceptual and thematic introduction to Ethics: nature, object of study and specific method; fundamental concepts and dominant perspectives. Professional ethics and Applied ethics: codes of good practice and social responsibility.
2. The horizons of the digital world and emerging ethical issues: security and privacy issues, online communities, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence.
3. Oral communication and written communication: oral and written presentation techniques of technical papers for various target audiences.
4. Presentation of topics in the IT area relevant to the business context.
The teaching consists of lectures that introduce the concepts, complemented by seminar classes, oriented to the development of reasoning and acquisition of competences in the thematic areas addressed. Some seminars will be given by guests with recognized experience in the field; others will be presented by students, who will give their critical thinking on the themes in study.
