Objectives
1) Identify the main characteristics that influence the development of nursing as a profession and knowledge discipline
2) Discuss the different concepts of the nursing metaparadigm according to different nursing theories and models
3) Relate the different regulatory instruments of the profession with the practice of nursing care in different contexts
4) To problematic the practice of nursing from an ethical and deontological perspective
5) Describe the stages of the nursing process as a professional action methodology for nurses

Teaching Methods
In addition to a few hours of theoretical nature that allow framing and exploring the main concepts that relate to nursing as a subject and profession, this courses focus will be in both theoretical and practical approaches using participatory methods and assets, so that students may: i) gather relevant information on a topic, ii) reflect on its suitability to the contents studied; iii) discuss and question the information selected incorporating their grounded perspective.
