Objectives

1. To acquire knowledge in the domain of the individual's body processes and their responses to the disease;

2. To understand the interrelationship of psychological, social, cultural, spiritual and biological factors in the prevention and treatment of the disease;

3. To acquire knowledge that allows care to meet the needs of the person in a disease situation, using scientific methodology.

4. To demonstrate the ability to support the decision making of the nursing action.

Teaching Methodologies

In order to involve students in the construction of the central contents of the curricular unit, the participatory, interrogative and expository method will be used using audiovisual media. In order to stimulate participation and reflection on the contents taught to the development of competences in the scope of providing nursing care to the person with the various pathologies addressed in the UC, practical cases will be used as a structuring basis for the expository sessions.
Guided reading of articles will also be recommended to consolidate the content covered in an autonomous time
