Objectives

1) Compreender as teorias do comércio internacional, identificando as vantagens do comércio livre face à autarcia e os seus efeitos sobre a distribuição de rendimentos;
2) Conhecer os instrumentos de política comercial, avaliando o seu impacto sobre o bem-estar dos agentes económicos nacionais e internacionais;
3) Utilizar os conceitos da teoria do bem-estar para avaliar graficamente o impacto das medidas de política comercial;
4) Utilizar os conhecimentos adquiridos em algumas aplicações a problemas concretos.

Teaching Methodologies

Lectures are organized either to teach international trade theory or as exercise oriented classes. Expositive lectures teach the theory and are supported by power point presentations and available on Moodle before the class.

Exercise oriented classes are supported by exercise sheets available also on Moodle.
