Os principais objetivos de aprendizagem a alcançar serão a compreensão de conceitos nominais e operacionais do Direito Internacional, reconhecendo a metodologia de investigação aplicada nesta área do saber, dotando os discentes de ferramentas suficientes para o trabalho de investigação autónomo.
Serão ainda metas a alcançar o conhecimento geral das principais correntes de pensamento sobre o Direito Internacional e a compreensão de todo o processo político dos Estados, conhecendo essencialmente o processo de formulação de decisão e todos os vetores que concorrem para a mesma.
1. Introduction: International Law - main evolution lines, in tha past, at present and in the future.
2. Origins, nature and principles of Law. Its relationship with other normative systems. Plurality of the normative systems. Law and State.
3. Origins, nature and basis of International Law. International Public Law and International Private Law.
4. International Law, and internal Law. Relationship among States.The solidarity movement, cooperation and integration among States.
5. The discipline of the relationship between the two juridical orders in the Portuguese Constitutional Law, based upon the present Constitution.
The syllabus is adequate to the structuring of objectives in the sense that it will give the students the main concepts to the analysis of International Law. The formation of a solid base in order to implement the practical work is given by the introductory points of the program, being, afterwards developed the practice of research, joining the nominal and operational concepts and its application in the analysis of the world.
