Objectives

1. To reflect upon the reality of the Portuguese language.

2. To know specific aspects of the functioning of the language.

3. To master the tools of linguistic correction.

4. To improve oral and written expression.

Program

1. Syntactic and semantic functions.

2. Simple sentences and complex sentences.

3. Types and forms of sentences.

4. Mechanisms for propositional constructions and reference.

5. The linguistic categories tense, aspect and mood.

6. Morphological, lexical, syntactic and semantic negation.

Teaching Methodologies

The course has an important theoretical component, which includes the presentation of concepts and theories about discourse analysis, along with a practical component, in which students are asked to do multiple exercises using the theoretical concepts previously introduced.
