Objectives

The objective is that students gain deeper knowledge and the necessary skills to adapt to the business market. This is accomplished by their integration into the professional world or by the development of their own business. It is also intended to enhance the entrepreneurship spirit of students through the analysis of practical case studies that reflect the transformation of ideas into successful businesses projects.

The objectives also include the provision of knowledge about the necessary steps to create an firm based on an added-value perspective; the main tools needed to assess the risks and the necessary resources to create firms and businesses; the knowledge about the different procedures to finance tourism and other investment projects related to the incentives granted to entrepreneurs; and, the necessary knowledge to create and develop firms and businesses, responsible for the global development of societies.

INTRODUCTION: Historic fundaments of entrepreneurship; Concept of business spirit and entrepreneurship determinants; General concepts about entrepreneurship, innovation and tourism; The model of entrepreneurship and the entrepreneur development cycle; Action based on entrepreneurship;

MAIN STEPS TO CREAT A FIRM: The environment for creating and formulating the idea; The idea in the business context; The formal base structure of the idea, commercial law and the firm; Steps to create a firm;

MAIN STEPS TO CREAT A BUSINESS PLAN: concept, types, traditional structure and evaluation criteria of a business plan; Tips for creating a good business plan;

FINANCING DIRECTED TO ENTREPRENEURSHIP: Financing needs of the business; Traditional forms of financing; Financing directed to entrepreneurship: Business Angels, Risk capital;

LEADERSHIP: Motivational theories and leadership; Link between leadership and entrepreneurship.

Teaching Methodologies

Theoretical and theoretical-practical classes.
