Objectives

1. Knowledge, understanding and analysis of the institutional, organizational and territorial context in which the Social Service professional operates;

2. Sensitization to professional practice, through the learning of a global methodology of action and training in observation, study, programming, execution, knowledge and evaluation techniques;

3. Elaboration of an action plan that contemplates the aspects of the previous paragraphs and that constitutes an element of evaluation and intervention project in Stage II

Program

Guidance and technical-scientific monitoring of the internship as a theoretical-practical instance oriented towards the discovery of the intern's host institution and the intervention of Social Work in it.

Analysis and reflection on the tools and instruments needed to build a social diagnosis, central to the elaboration of an action plan, which will guide stage II

Development of conceptual, analytical and technical-operative skills aimed at characterizing the institution and Social Service intervention in it, the diagnostic elaboration and consequent design of the action plan.

Teaching Methodologies

In this UC supervision is used, as an essential part of the initial training and is still required for the competent development of social service professionals. Professional supervision is defined as the relationship between supervisor and supervisee in which (…) the supervisor is responsible for giving direction to the supervisee, who applies the Social Work theory, standardized knowledge, techniques, skills and ethical content applicable in the context of the practice. The supervisor and the supervisee share the responsibility to play their part in this collaborative process. Supervision protects customers, supports professionals and ensures that professional standards and quality services are performed by competent professionals.
