Objectives

This curricular unit intends to complement the specific training in Philosophy taught in the 1st year of the Master, through practical classes and seminars, on the very methodology of philosophical work.

In so far as this is a Masters in Philosophy, Seminário I aims to prepare students to understand the specific requirements of philosophical inquiry, with particular relevance to the hermeneutics of philosophical texts.

Program

In each school year, the responsible for this curricular unit will choose the main topics of work during the semester, according to the needs highlighted by the students in the research leading to the thesis / final project.

Teaching Methodologies

The curricular unit has a practical nature, in seminars where for students must acquire the necessary skills to understand and carry out an independent academic research in Philosophy.

The assessment will focus on a written paper, according to the procedures of philosophical hermeneutics, meeting the requirements of a Master's degree in Philosophy.
