Community Nursing (CN)

Analyze the concept of health and community health;

Linking systems and health services with the provision of health care;

Relate the importance of CN with the health of communities;

Describe the functions and activities of nurses in CN;

Identify care practices of healthy lifestyles and hygiene, in the health of people;

Identify housing and environmental factors that affect health;

Explain the meaning of family as a system in the context of family health;

Identify models of intervention at family and community level;

Justifying the intervention strategies in community health.

Health Education (HE)

Analyze the concept of HE and health promotion;

Analyze the concept of disease prevention;

Relate the concept of health and spirituality;

Identify strategies for changing attitudes towards healthy lifestyles;

Justify the importance of communication in health education.

BLOCK I

COMMUNITY NURSING (CN)

• Health Care (Health and Community Health, Health Systems; surveillance, health teams);

• Inter-relate concepts;

CARE IN CN (concepts, principles, functions and powers);

PERSONAL HEALTH (Personal hygiene, healthy lifestyles); ENVIRONMENTAL (sanitation and housing);

FAMILY SYSTEMIC PERSPECTIVE;

FAMILY ASSESSMENT (Family and individual in the family system at risk, house calls);

INTERVENTION STRATEGIES (problems and health needs, criteria for setting priorities in health; diagnosis of community health, community groups, emphasizing the risk groups).

BLOCK II

HEALTH EDUCATION (HE)

• Meaning of words;

• Intervention by the nurse;

• Communication in HE.

CITIZENSHIP

• Citizen;

• Citizenship in HE;

GLOBALIZATION

• EPS and Globalization;

• Consequences.

HEALTH EDUCATION AND SPIRITUALITY

• Person - Being spiritual;

• Practice guidelines for reflection and meditation.

Teaching Methodologies

The strategies to be used for the course will consider various content already discussed, focusing on approaches of personal and group work of students.

As a way to illustrate the theoretical part on the subject of House Calls, will be using the simulations.

Thus, besides the lecture method, is included in group work where students have the opportunity to reflect on the topics listed in the work, and therefore a contribution to the educational experience.
