Objectives

3. Ethical issues of psychological intervention.

4. Fields of socio-professional application.
4.1. The role of the professional
4.2. The practice of Counseling
4.3. Counseling settings (e.g., health, family)
4.4. Counseling with several populations (e.g., children, the elderly)

Teaching Methodologies

This curricular unit is structured in theoretical and practical classes.
Theoretical classes use essentially expository techniques and discussion/reflection.
In the theoretical-practical classes, scientific articles are analyzed and discussed. Some videos are also used. These classes also support the preparation and presentation of the group work (critical review). Practical/group dynamic exercises are performed in order to allow students to practice skills requested in counseling.
