The learning objectives of this seminar are aimed at the students:
1. Get to know the history of Museology in its international, national and regional events;
2. Define and discuss the concepts of Memory, Heritage and Development;
3. Learn Inventory methodologies, according to various asset types;
4. Present concrete cases where the concepts of point b) are active or inactive and criticize how they inter-sect;
5. Be able to write a text with brackets, articulating the theoretical component with case studies.
6. Be able to present their work orally creatively and well-structured and scientifically elaborated.
The program is designed on the basis of three central themes that will be discussed with the students following the model of Seminar discussions. The themes are as follows:
1. Museums and Portuguese Cultural Heritage: historical and diagnostic
2. Museums and Regional Cultural Heritage: historical and diagnostic
3. Heritage, Memory and Development
4. Inventory and Safeguard: partnership or divorce?
The classes are organized according to the following model:
1st part: content display by the teacher;
2nd part: discussion with students about the subject presented, for which students have been advised to do readings.
