Objectives

- Systematize contemporary issues of social service theory;

- Motivate and raise awareness of the close relationship between social service and Human Rights, public social protection policies;

- Provide systematic knowledge about the social network and the organization of social services within the scope of public policies;

- Know and deepen different specific problems, subjects and sectors of intervention of the social worker, emphasizing the emerging and cyclical issues of professional practice;

- Consolidate theoretical knowledge and innovative experiences in the field of social work;

- Know and understand intervention practices in the various sectors covered by social service.

Program

A - Human Rights and Social Work

Contribution to the improvement of the action and intervention of Social Work professionals for the benefit of those who need their services.

C - Theoretical, methodological and practical knowledge of social work intervention.

Teaching Methodologies

- Sessions of exposure and systematization of the matter;

- Sessions of exhibition of particular themes within the scope of intervention in social work, with the contribution of invited social workers;

- Sessions of presentation of works carried out by the students regarding existing services and equipment, based on an interpretation grid provided by the teacher;

- Study visits to organizations with implemented Social Work.
