Objectives

To know pharmacological groups for organs and systems, highlighting the most important drugs. Apply concepts of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. Structuring the knowledge, so as to enable a rational therapy

Program

1. Drugs for the central nervous system.
2. Drugs for the digestive tract and liver.
3. Hemostasis pharmacology. Treatment of anemia and other blood diseases.
4. Pharmacology of the cardiovascular system.
5. Drugs for the respiratory system.
6. Renal system and drugs.
7. Pharmacology of diseases of the metabolism. Hormones and related drugs.
8. Cancer pharmacology.

Teaching Methodologies

There are theorical lessons in the classroom, and teaching in groups, performing tasks or solving problems or cases. The student will also develop a workbook, which is part of his portfolio, and shall be assigned topics that have to be developed through research. The student will also do a Personal Medication Formulary, choosing drugs in a way rationally structured.
