Objectives

1. Understand the historical and conceptual context in which human resources management works;

2. Perspective the main evolutionary trends of human resources management;

3. Highlight the importance of human resources as a strategic factor;

4. Be aware of the main organizational processes relevant to human resource management;

5. Understand the main practices that support the management of human resources;

6. Acquire a critical attitude about the main challenges and trends facing human resource management.

Teaching Methodologies

In the theoretical classes, the chosen methodologies are exposition, explanation, audiovisual and interrogation/dialogue. After the themes under study are presented and discussed, the practical classes are designed in order to enable the consolidation of knowledge and to allow its application through the analysis of texts, case studies, role-play and simulation, varying the methodologies according to with its applicability to the subject under study.
