Objectives

1. Understand Philosophy for Children as a field of philosophical studies and as a philosophical-educational project.

2. Understand the educational and philosophical context of M. Lipman and A. Sharp’s Philosophy for Children project.

3. Explain the key concepts that structure the work of M. Lipman and A. Sharp.

4. Analyze philosophically the main text of the authors under study.

5. Understand the philosophical exercise with children as the practice of excellent thinking.

6. Understand the importance of philosophical practice in the development of cognitive, social and emotional skills as well as in the construction of enlightened and critical citizens.
