Objectives

1. To give solid knowledge about chemistry concepts and principles.

2. To develop capacity to solve the general chemistry problems.

3. To develop capacity to work in a chemistry laboratory.

4. To make chemistry interesting an easily understood by the students.

Program

Theorical-CHEMICAL BONDING.COMPLEXES.SOLUTIONS. Colligative properties of the non-electrolytic and electrolic solutions. KINETIC. CHEMICAL DYNAMICS. ACID-BASE. Acid-base concepts. Saline hydrolysis. Buffer solutions. Indicators. Titration. REDOX REACTIONS. General concepts. Potentials redox. Nernst Equation. THERMODYNAMIC. Laws of Thermodynamic. Enthalpy. Entropy. Free energy. Laboratory-Solutions. Titrations acidbase. Buffer solutions. Determination of the enthalpy of a reaction. Spectrophotometry. Theory-practice- Exercises and clarification of concepts.

Teaching Methodologies

The classes are expositives, sometimes with PowerPoints, but the most part times using the blackboard.

Laboratorial lessons: 2 hours per week for group. The number of groups depends on the number of pupils.

All students work in laboratory.
