Program

The detailed program of each Internship is adapted to the specific needs in the context of software development in the respective host entity, which established a specific protocol with the UAc for this purpose. It has the following general topics:

  1. Internship project planning
  2. Concepts, methods and theoretical-practical tools specific to the internship project

Teaching Methodologies

Each internship is supervised by both an informatics professor of the study cycle  and a professional specialized in informatics from the respective institution that has a protocol with UAc for training programs. Based on the internship project proposal presented by the institution, each student prepares, presents and discusses their work plan with the supervisors.

Within the scope of teaching-learning methodologies, the following is provided:

  • Tutorial guidance with meetings with the supervisors.
  • Guidance of the autonomous study necessary for the development of the internship project by the supervisors.
  • Oral/written presentations of the internship project progress to the supervisors.
  • Seminars on relevant topics within the scope of the study cycle's objectives.
  • Guidance on structuring and writing the internship project report

UAc's e-Learning Moodle platform (at http://moodle.uac.pt) is used as a repository of pedagogical and didactic material to support learning, as well as a platform for scheduling, disseminating and promoting complementary activities and management of the assessment elements.

Bibliography

The general bibliography for each stage includes:

Dawson, C. (2015). Projects in Computing and Information Systems: A Student's Guide (Third Edition): Pearson.

Sommerville, I. (2015). Software Engineering (Tenth Edition): Pearson.

Given the specificity of the projects and the diversity of technologies that can be used at each stage, supervisors will be able to advise a bibliography adequate to the specificity of each project.
