Develop the Final Report based on available scientific evidence:
a. Develop the activities inherent to the theme selected in your training project for UC
b. Prepare the final report
c. Publicly present and discuss the report
They will be all those that were taught during the 1st curricular year and that provide subsidies for the development of specialized practices in the context of clinical teaching.
In preparing the report, it is worth highlighting the curricular units Women's and Family Nursing I and II, Advanced Nursing, Pedagogy and Clinical Supervision and Research in Nursing.
It is a UC that integrates the knowledge, skills and attitudes acquired with regard to the area of specialization and research methodologies.
It is developed in primary health care units and/or hospitals, taking into account the foreseen objectives.
The student must show his involvement in the learning process through the completion of the final report, assuming an effective participation, allowing the teacher to assess skills acquired and/or developed by the student. The presentation and public discussion of the report makes it possible to develop and demonstrate the ability to communicate the results of its intervention in Maternal and Obstetric Health Nursing, throughout the training course, highlighting the skills of a specialist nurse and Master.
The hours of tutorial guidance are intended to accompany the student in the completion of the final report, based on the scientific method.
The seminar hours are intended for moments of sharing the work developed by students during the academic year.
The student will be guided by a professor in the progress of the final report, based on the development of writing, research, critical and reflective thinking skills.
The internship in primary health care will be carried out on the mainland, in Community Care Units (UCC), where Specialist Nurses in Maternal and Obstetric Health Nursing (ESMO) work. In the Autonomous Region of the Azores, it will take place in Health Centers where ESMO Specialist Nurses perform functions and provide assistance to pregnant women and significant others and to puerperal women and newborns and their families as vulnerable groups.
