Objectives

The main objectives are the following: to teach the students the main developments, at the national and international levels, related to Geopolitics and Geostrategy, as well as the main concepts and theories related to the subjects. The students have to read a specific bibliography with the aim of preparing the seminars.

Program

Imperialism; globalization and Geopolitics; Geopolitics during the First World War; Imperial Geopolitics; Geopolitics during the Second World War and the Cold War; Geopolitics in the New World Order.

Teaching Methodologies

First of all, the professor, in each class, makes a formal introduction concerning the topic being discussed. Afterwards, asks ALL the students to make their comments concerning the topic being discussed, in order to start the discussion, not only between the professor and the students, but also among them.
