The general objectives of the course, across the respective areas of specialization, are: to promote critical reflection on themes and contemporary issues in education and training; to deepen knowledge in the field of education and training, with a view to its possible application in educational and training contexts; to develop skills for the identification, characterization, description and understanding of phenomena and processes occurring in educational and training contexts, contributing to the creation of knowledge and innovation; to develop skills to carry out professional intervention and / or research projects in educational and training contexts; to promote the ability to coordinate and participate in multidisciplinary teams as well as to collaborate with other professionals and researchers in projects, organizations and networks at the educational and training level; to develop skills for the communication of knowledge and its foundations.

Objectives

In the area of specialization of Innovation and Promotion of Educational Success: a) to understand educational failure as a complex and systemic phenomenon; b) to produce knowledge about school failure in a systematic and rigorous way; c) to develop research based proposals and actions that promote educational success; In the area of specialization of Training and Educational Intervention with Children and Youngsters: a) to identify risk situations involving children and youth; b) to understand the contexts that facilitate the emergence of these risk situations; c) to develop research-based proposals and intervention actions aimed at solving these problems; In the area of specialization of Adult Education and Training: a) to produce knowledge about adult education and training phenomena; b) to identify and study situations, at the level of adult education and training, that call for targeted interventions aimed at their improvement; c) to develop research-based proposals and intervention actions at this level.

Admission Requirements

May apply for the cycle of study: a) Holders of a licenciado degree or legally equivalent qualifications, preferably in the areas of sciences of education or social and human sciences; b) Holders of a school, scientific or professional curriculum that is recognized by the scientific council as attesting to the ability to carry out the master's degree.

Professional Opportunities

Management, diagnosis, design, coordination, advisory and evaluation functions, as well as pedagogical, technical and mediation functions, among others, in the field of education and training with central and regional education bodies, municipalities, private institutions of social solidarity and non-governmental organizations, among others.
